With the second season of anime, ‘World Trigger’ concluded on April 4, 2021, fans are wondering when the show will return for the next season. World Trigger is a Japanese anime series based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara. Season 1 comprising of 73 episodes aired from October 5, 2014, to April 3, 2016. Following the success of the first season, the series gets a second season, with the cast reprising their roles.

During Jump Festa 2020, it was announced that the series will receive a third season. That’s even before the second season started airingin Jan 2021.

During the AnimeJapan 2021 event in March 2021, World Trigger season three release date was announced. Later, the show’s social media accounts confirmed it. You don’t have to wait long as ‘World Trigger season 3’ will premiere in October 2021.

Details about the anime series
World Trigger is a science fiction action anime. It is set in a world under constant threat of attack from multidimensional creatures known as Neighbors. After their attack, the humans realized that their traditional weapons have no match to the new enemy power. A new enigmatic organization called Border emerged. Using World Triggers, weapons made from Neighbor technology, it forced the enemies to leave for the time. Hiroyuki Yoshino is the scriptwriter.
Toei Animation produced the anime. Morio Hatano (season 1) and Kouji Ogawa (season 2) are the series directors. Toshihisa Kaiya and Hitomi Tsuruta are the character designers and animation directors, and the music is composed by Kenji Kawai.
