Kochi: John Paul, who changed the script of Malayalam cinema, has passed away. He was 72 years old. Farewell to the screenwriter who gave birth to many Malayalam characters who shone brightly on the screen.

John Paul, who had been out of the movie business for years, died at the hospital. The entire Malayalam film world was praying for John Paul, who was hospitalized for weeks. He said goodbye on Saturday afternoon, disappointing all expectations. Aisha is the wife of Elizabeth. Daughter Jisha GB. The body, which is being kept at the hospital today, will be laid to rest at the Ernakulam Town Hall and Chavara Cultural Center on Sunday morning. It will then be taken to the flat in the woods. Burial will be at Elamkulam Church in the evening.

John Paul’s latest Malayalam film is Kamal’s Pranayameenukalude Kadal.

John Paul’s first screenplay was a love story unfamiliar to Indian cinema until then. In the year 1980, Malayalees were introduced to the film Chamaram, a rare genius who wrote strong scripts and later amazed the Malayalee audience and turned them into fans. John Paul brilliantly narrated a number of stories of various facets and emotions. John Paul has written over 100 screenplays for the best directors in Malayalam. He was one of the busiest film writers of the eighties and early nineties.

John Paul, who wrote the screenplay gracefully and without repetition, was much loved by the directors and the audience. It is a pity that he did not even own a house despite completing his century in screenwriting. We have to assume that he did not want to make a film for financial gain or that he was not good at making any financial gain. It is also disturbing that in recent days friends and colleagues have sought the benevolence of benefactors for John Paul’s treatment.

It is certain that there will be no other heir to the position that John Paul has achieved in the world of Malayalam cinema through his brilliant and powerful screenplays. John Paul’s first film, Chamaram, is a good example of how he was able to create different levels of human emotion through his characters and story contexts. Bharathan, who was given his first chance, later starred in films like Marmaram, Ormakkai, Rails, Sandhya Mayangum Neram, Ithirippoove Chuvanna Poove, Kaatho Kaathoram, Neeru Kurinji Poothappol, Nee Kurinji Poothupol, Keli, Malootty, Chamayam and Manjeeradhovani.

Bharathan, one of the best filmmakers in Indian cinema, has been credited with writing the screenplays for his films. Rails were not the subject of discussion. The twinkling of an eye and the dream and fun of an evening were different. Sadness and love, which can be described as the most intense of human emotions, were repeated in John Paul’s stories. But the most amazing thing about his writing prowess is that one story is not a repetition of another.

Mohan, p. Chandrakumar, P.G. Vishwambharan, P.N. Menon, K.S. Sethumadhavan, I.V. Shashi, Joshi, Sathyan Anthikkad, Kamal, Sibi Malayil … The list of directors who worked with John Paul goes on. Yathra directed by John Paul for Balu Mahendra is one of the favorite movies of Malayalees. John Paul was also the narrator of the festival after Bharat Gopi. K. Films like ‘Orukkam’ and ‘Second Coming’ which worked with Madhu are among the thrillers. Spouse, extracurriculars, fasting, terrestrial I.V. Big Frame movies were written for Shashi.

Revathikoru Pavakutty, written for Sathyan Anthikkad, is one of the most annoying movies in Malayalam cinema. Bharat Gopi’s extraordinary acting skills also set the film apart. The backbone of PG Vishwambharan’s This World Is Here, Some People, This Voice Today’s sound was perhaps the best screenplay of all time, films that traveled a long time ago. Not only Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nedumudi Venu and Thilakan but also Madhavi, Shobhana, Serena Wahab, Seema, Parvathy … John Paul has given memorable acting moments in their acting careers.

In an interview, John Paul said that he entered the screenwriting industry without even writing a short story. P.N. Arrow in Menon’s story, from Thikkodiyan drama
John Paul did the best he could, believing in the Malayalam version of the American film Blue Lagoon.

John Paul, a selfless great man who loved cinema and lived with a group of artists who were very sincere, became part of the best films and did his part very well. He eventually wrote the screenplay for the biopic Theresa Hadd A Dream. Theresa Had a Dream was written in English. Although he excelled in screenwriting, it is unfortunate that his prowess was not well received.

Before becoming active in the film industry, John Paul worked as a bank clerk and journalist. During his busy schedule, he devoted his time to studying cinema, writing books and imparting his knowledge to film students. M.T. Vasudevan Nair was the son of John Paul MT. He was the producer of the film Oru Cherupunchiri which he directed. His dream of working with a smiling MT, which has garnered national and international recognition, came true.

Madhu’s life vision, Bharathan as a riddle, Gopi as the symbol, Ruchi Sallapam, C.J. Thomas and C.J. Thomas, co-worker, P.N. Menon – John Paul is also the author of books such as A Dedication to Idol Breakers, The Sacred Memorial, Savidham, and Those Who Walked Ahead. John Paul also starred in the films Care of Syrabanu and Gangster. John Paul is also the Founder General Secretary of MACTA, the Association of Malayalam Film Technologists. It is very sad that ‘Immini’, a friend, orator and teacher in the world of Malayalam cinema, is passing away as a great man.
