Mumbai: Film and television star and theater actor Salim Khaus, 70, has passed away. He died of a heart attack. He was rushed to Kokila Ben Hospital in Mumbai but could not save his life. Salim Khaus has made a name for himself in Malayalam with his film Thazhvaram directed by Bharathan. The villainous character Raghavan in the film received a lot of applause.
Born in Chennai, Saleem Khaus graduated from the Film and Television Institute of Pune after completing his college education. She made her film debut in 1978 with Swarga Narak. He has acted in over forty films including Chakra, Koyla, Trikal, Drohi, Soldier and Indian Chanakya. The character of TT Vikram in the movie Thiruda Thiruda directed by Mani Ratnam has attracted a lot of attention.
