Oscar Isaac ( Moon Knight ) is in talks to star in a series about Kurt Vonnegut, author of Slaughterhouse Five, or The Children’s Crusade, with Amazon Prime Video. The project, called Helltown, will be based on the book of the same name by Casey Sherman. A total of eight episodes are planned.
The series tells about the life of Kurt Vonnegut before he became a famous writer. In 1969 he was selling cars and living with his wife and five children on the outskirts of Provincetown. But when the bodies of two recently disappeared women are found under the sand dunes, Kurt takes up the investigation and begins the search for a dangerous serial killer.
Isaac can play the writer himself. The show is being developed by director Edward Berger ( All Quiet on the Western Front ) and will be written and showrunner by Divide co-creator Mohamed El Masri .
