Only Kalpana knew that secret; Humble about Wonder Island

Published

on

If you take the best fantasy movies released in Malayalam, Atbhuthadweep will be at the forefront. Released in 2005, the film tells the story of four sailors who end up in a shipwrecked country. Vinayan has been revealing a secret about cinema for over 17 years. He said that only actress Kalpana knew that Prithviraj would play one of the main characters in the film.

Vinayan said this through a Facebook post. Prithviraj was banned by some film organizations at that time. I was determined to overcome that barrier and cast Raju in my film. I still have a troubled habit of swimming against the current. Raju’s mother Mallika Chechi was also very happy when I told her my plan. Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadeesh, Indrans and Kalpana were given advance agreements after Pakru was advertised as the hero in the film which has more than 300 short people. Vinayan wrote.

What really stuck on Wonder Island was some of the film’s banning organizations. Mallika Kapoor says that she still remembers the movie with wonder. Prithviraj did not tell Mallika Kapoor, the heroine of Atbhuta Island, that she is the hero. Even the friends of Malayalam cinema did not like the fantasy film which was mentioned as different even by the foreign media.

Vinayan wrote that he is very happy to see youngsters of the new generation still trolling the film and describing it as the best fantasy film in Malayalam.

What really stuck on Wonder Island was some of the film’s banning organizations. Mallika Kapoor says that she still remembers the movie with wonder. According to Guinness Book of World Records, Prithviraj did not tell Mallika Kapoor that he is a hero.

Mallika tells the story of falling in love with the character of Princess Prithviraj, who was engaged to be married to Prince Gajendran of the country of the short. But Mallika was adamant not to divulge any information about the actors. Ever since I heard the story of Wonder Island, I would have jokingly told Pakru, who was anxiously asking who his heroine was, that it was a suspenseful wait. Many people thought that the heroine of Atbhuthadweep was probably one of the famous heroines of Malayalam cinema at that time. But when I spoke to the heroines who were in the limelight at that time to play the lead role of Kalabhavan Mani in the film Vasanthi, Lakshmi and Me, I had in my mind that I had lost my humility by laughing. So, in the early stages of the film, Mallika, who was born into a Punjabi family, was seen as the heroine.

There was a special reason to suggest that Prithviraj should not be mentioned in the film. Prithviraj was known to be another important actor in the film, who was the only one in the cast. Kalpana was of the strong opinion that such unjust prohibition and isolation should be resisted. Jagathichettan and Kalpana are seen at a shooting location. I still remember the look on Kalpana’s face when he said that Prithviraj could not act in the movie if he was there. I doubt if Jagathy Chettan knew about Prithviraj even when Anna signed the agreement – because after signing the agreement, Prithviraj’s body was photographed with about ten little people sitting on it.

Thus, with the release of Atbhutadweep, the ban on Prithviraj was lifted. Raju is actively returning to cinema. But even the friends of Malayalam cinema did not like the fantasy film which was mentioned by even the foreign media as different. In those days when social media was not as active as it is today, it was some caucuses in cinema that decided the good and the bad. That’s probably why the film, which was released 17 years ago, was not properly discussed. But with that film, all the baby humans became celebrities. Guinness World Records Not only that, but the film has become a positive energy for many children to get married and support their families. I myself personally attended the weddings of many of them. It is a great pleasure to see the new generation of youngsters trolling this movie and describing it as the best fantasy movie in Malayalam.
