The port of Cochin, which later grew into a story dating back to the 1940s and ’50s, became a breeding ground for a mafia consisting of contractors, capitalists and their affiliated union leaders. It is a time when workers have to fight for their right to work and live with dignity. The port is the story of the survival of a family and a village going through these turbulent times. The story of two generations, torn between good and evil, between tragedy and heroic resistance, between hope and despair.
