‘India does not belong to anyone’; The politics of ‘Jana Gana Mana’

Published

on

‘Jana Gana Mana’ has been eagerly awaited by the audience since the teaser was released with the mass dialogue ‘Nada Saare Ithu, which has two sides for killing Gandhi’. ‘Jana Gana Mana’, directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu, has been in the theaters for hours. Netizens are celebrating the film and some of the dialogues in the film on social media.

The massacre began with the brutal murder of a college teacher in Bangalore and the ensuing riots in the college. The story of Janaganamana continues with the students’ struggle to bring to justice those responsible for the death of their teacher who was raped and set on fire.

It is reminiscent of the incident in which a veterinarian was brutally raped and then burnt to death in Hyderabad. The incident in which all the four accused in the case were killed in a police encounter that day had created a stir in the country.

The film discusses many aspects of contemporary Indian society and politics, including caste politics and vote politics. From the beginning to the end of the Jana Gana Mana, we go through many of the developments we have witnessed in contemporary India. The film takes a definite stand against anti-democracy and fascism. The film has a lot of dialogues that may be discussed in the coming days.

From the very first minutes of the film, it shows how horrible communalism is in the country. The head of an educational institution tells students that protesters can be identified by their clothing. After this, the character Gauri Lakshmi, played by Vince Aloysius, wraps the shawl around her head and challenges her to identify if she wants to be identified by the clothes. Such statements remind us of the peasant struggle in the country.

During the protest in the college, police remind the image of the Azha Police, a Malayalee student and the role of Gauri points and the citizenship legal amendment.

The film depicts the racial discrimination and psychological harassment faced by students from backward classes in Indian universities. The discrimination and mental torture faced by a Tamil girl named Vidya is reminiscent of many incidents in contemporary society where she eventually commits suicide by blaming her birth for not being able to find meaning in her own life. Rohit Vemula, who committed suicide at the University of Hyderabad in 2016, and Fatima Latif, who committed suicide at IIT Madras, will be remembered for a moment.

The political awareness in our country is that in this country where a man kills a dog and a man comes to ask if he kills a dog, if he kills a dog, there will be no dog to ask if he kills a dog. Because here the questioners are being silenced. ‘There is no doubt that every dialogue mentioned in the film will be discussed in the coming days.

‘Jana Gana Mana’ is a movie starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles after getting their driving licenses. The film is directed by Dijo Jose Antony and directed by Queen. This is the project that got attention when the promo came out in January 2021. The film is written by Sharis Mohammad. The film is being produced by Supriya Menon under the banner of Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames.
