‘Euphoria’ Season 2: All Latest Details Zendaya-starrer Breakout HBO Series?

Fans of Zendaya’s drama series Euphoria can rejoice, as the second season of the HBO hit series featuring the most ferocious cast of high schoolers on TV is now available! Yes, you read that right. Zendaya received a historic Emmy nomination for her role as Rue Bennett (teen addict) at the 72nd Annual Emmys. HBO has renewed the series, just one month following its summer 2019 premiere. The renewal confirms that things are moving in the right direction for the season. Stars like Hunter Schafer (above), Barbie Ferreira, Jacob Elordi, Alexa demise, and Alexa Delaney (below) have already been confirmed.

While major details about the highly anticipated season are still being kept under wraps, here is everything you need to know about the next chapter in Euphoria.

When Does Season 2 Of Euphoria Come Out?

The premiere date for the next season has yet to be announced by the producers, but fans can be confident that it’s in the works thanks to Zendaya. She shared the first glimpse on Instagram of the second season. The star shared an exclusive sneak peek of the next episodes. It showed Rue (herself), Jules Hunter Schafer, and Jules (Hunter Schafer) looking at each other in the school hallway. “Happy 2nd anniversary @euphoria…see You Soon Zendaya” was the caption.

Due to COVID-19 limitations, the earlier goal of releasing this season in 2020 was delayed several times. HBO president Casey Bloys said to Deadline that Euphoria will begin filming the second season in early 2021. So fans can expect a release in late 2021 to early 2022. Sources report that production began April 5th in Los Angeles.

Two Special Episodes Premiered In The Meantime

To make sure that viewers are not confused by the long gap between seasons 1 and 2, the makers released two episodes Euphoria, in December 2020 & January 2021. The first (titled Problems Don’t Last Always) is about Rue, who left the station in December 2020 and then relapsed at Christman time. The second, F*CK Everyone Who’s Not A Sea Blob), is also about the holiday season. It focuses on Jules. InStyle spoke exclusively to the actor and teased that he was considering filming bridge episodes.

Euphoria Season 1 Storyline

American teen drama television series, Sam Levinson’s, is loosely based in part on an Israeli TV miniseries. It chronicles the experiences of high school teens through their relationships with drugs, sex (drugs), love, identity, trauma, and friendships. In the season’s final, Rue was reunited with Jules after recovering from a kidney infection. Nate was not able to have an erection and Maddy confronts him about the sexuality of his partner. Cassie can also be seen terminating her pregnancies as Kat searches out Ethan.

It ends with Rue confronting Nate. Nate threatens Cal, but Nate is peacefully able to end their relationship. Rue is supposed to go with Jules, but Jules decides to travel alone on a train. She returns home, snorts opioids, and has a vivid and memorable musical hallucination. Her fate is unknown.
