Deepika Padukone to attend Cannes Film Festival

Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has represented India at the Cannes Film Festival, one of the best film festivals in the world. Coming as a jury. The information was released by Wilson Linden, the French actor and president of the Cannes Film Festival.

In addition to Deepika, who made her presence known at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017 on the red carpet, the other members are Oscar-winning director Asghar Farhadi, Jeff Nichols, Rebecca Hall, Numi Rapes, Jasmine Trinka, Lodge Lee and Joaquim Trier. The 75th Cannes Film Festival kicks off on May 17. Winners will be announced on May 28th.

David Cronenberg’s dystopian science fiction play ‘Crisis of the Future’ will be the focus of this year’s fair. Writer Arundhati Roy in 2000, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 2003, Nandita Das in 2005 and 2013, Sharmila Tagore in 2009, Shekhar Kapoor in 2010 and Vidya Balan in 2013 were also members of the jury.
