Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is getting closer to being released in theaters and with the arrival of this film in the MCU will also come the start of a new conflict within the Marvel Cinematic Universe antagonized byKang the Conqueror whom we can see in a new imagethat prepares us to meet the next great villain of this superhero franchise.
As many of you already know, with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania , Phase 5 of the MCU will begin, a phase that, as we well know, will last at least two years and will bring with it a large number of quite great movies and series, but more than anything it will serve as a “prelude” for the next great conflict planned by Marvel Studios, something like Infinity War and End Game, and why do we say that it will serve as a prelude? Well, because we remember that the next two Avengers films will arrive until 2025 and 2026, which will be antagonized by Kang played by actor Jonathan Majors.

In this new image revealed by Empire magazine we can see Majors as Kang the Conqueror already with this character’s classic outfit, unlike the last time we saw him in the Loki series where he wore a kind of purple tunic. The photograph as such does not reveal much beyond the villain of Ant-Man 3, however, it is accompanied by an interesting comment provided by Kevin Feige himself, president of Marvel Studios, who says that Kang brings “a new type of Big Bad to the MCU .
Which is just what we mean, Kang will be, so to speak, the new Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This character will be in charge of making things impossible for the Avengers, albeit a new level, since we are not only talking about hand-to-hand confrontations and the desire to decimate the universe, but this subject will put reality itself at stake through the multiverse and the time lines.
